Museum of Making Music

Home
Welcome!

Discover a century of musical innovations that helped shape American popular music at Carlsbad's educational & interactive musical gem.  The Museum reveals the unique and often untold stories of music makers, musical instruments and the music products industry.  And, through intimate concerts, films, discussions, hands-on workshops, volunteer opportunities and programs for underserved youth, the Museum enables people of all ages and walks of life to find their way into the richly kaleidoscopic world of music making!

Tournament of Roses: Decorate to Donate!
From December 26 through 31, 2008, Studio Concepts will be decorating a Rose Parade float sponsored by NAMM, the International Music Products Association.  Studio Concepts is accepting applications for volunteers to help them decorate.  For each hour of volunteer time, Studio Concepts will donate 50 cents to one of three non-profits, including the Museum of Making Music!  If you'd like to be a helping hand in decorating a float that will be in the Rose Parade and would like to support the Museum, please visit their website to learn more about volunteering.  The Rose Parade will be broadcast on ABC, NBC, Univision, HGTV, Travel Channel, RFD-TV as well as KWHY and KTLA in the Los Angeles area.  The Parade is also seen in more than 200 international territories.
